Born on August 6, 2003, in Johnson City, Tennessee, Grace was the youngest child of Norman and Amy White. Her obituary describes her as a vibrant young woman whose life was defined by her faith, compassion, academic achievements, and passion for serving others.
Grace’s family shared that she “closed her eyes to this world for the final time and then opened them again in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” expressing their faith that she is now at peace.
From an early age, Grace developed a love for dance and athletics. She participated in gymnastics, competitive dance, tumbling, high school cheerleading, and competitive cheer, activities through which she formed lasting friendships and inspired those around her with her enthusiasm and determination.
She also had a special bond with her beloved dog, Roxy, who brought her companionship and joy throughout her life.
A Life Grounded in Faith
Faith played a central role in Grace’s life. She was baptised by her grandfather, Dr Norman White Sr,0 at Embreeville Church of Christ and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of 10.
As a member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church, Grace remained actively involved in her church community. During her years at Daniel Boone High School, she participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Truth Bible Club, where she shared her faith with fellow students.
Her family remembered her as someone whose kindness, joy, and unwavering faith positively influenced everyone she met.
Academic Excellence and a Passion for Nursing
Grace excelled academically throughout high school and college. She earned membership in both the Beta Club and the National Honor Society, later continuing her academic success by consistently earning a place on the Dean’s List while attending nursing school.
Her dream was to become a paediatric nurse, reflecting a lifelong desire to care for children and help those in need.
Before entering nursing school, Grace volunteered for years at local hospitals, dedicating countless hours to serving patients and families. She successfully completed three years of nursing education before her passing.
Remembered by Loved Ones
Grace is survived by her loving parents, Norman and Amy White; her brother, Noah White; her longtime boyfriend, Jake Cadogan; and numerous extended family members, friends, church members, and loved ones who will cherish her memory.
