The Mobile, Alabama community and the UMS-Wright Preparatory School family are mourning the heartbreaking loss of James Monroe Hand, affectionately known as “J-Roe,” whose life was tragically cut short following a reported boating accident.
James, a member of the UMS-Wright Class of 2026, is being remembered as a young man whose kindness, determination, and joyful spirit left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His passing has brought profound sorrow to his family, classmates, teachers, coaches, teammates, and the entire school community.
